Does hp have replacement parts for this purpose, but for after market sale. I personally would not buy another hp/compaq product, if this were the case. The service part of this company needs some attention. I could still find parts for a 1957 chevy, shame on hp/ compaq. There is a whole new service market out there that could be tapped into, not to mention profits and customer satifaction with the products / reliablity of standing behind one's products. It should work for small, diagonal cracks in corners).the digitizer is a plastic film with glass plate under it. On both sides of the glass plate there are two electrodes that go from bottom to top. In the plastic film there are eletrodes at top and bottom. My digitizer had a crack at bottom right corner.i applied very small amount of superglue behind the digitizer glass plate's cracked area. After that, using a sharp blade, i gently peeled the plastic film from the glass plate only at the locations where the crack reached the edges.
Then i used contact making pen (12$, radioshack) to remake the broken contact at both the cracked corners. I pasted the top film back on the digitizer and it works fine and dandy. If it doesnt work, well, it was broken anyways. If it does work, you are welcome:).

The digitizer is in thousand peices. So, if you have a 560 digitizer with a small crack in the side, and you are too scared to fix it yourself, i'd buy it.also, i have a palm m505 with totally broken digitizer back-plate, and lcd screen.
